Clean Agent portable fire extinguishers are safe for use on Class A, B, and C fires. The clean agent portable fire extinguishers contain halogenated agents that are electrically non-conductive and non-corrosive. There is no residue left behind. It’s business as usual with no collateral damage.

Chlorofluorocarbon Clean Agent

A chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Clean Agent portable fire extinguisher is effective on Class A, B and C fires. Clean Agent portable fire extinguisher utilizing chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as the fire extinguishing agent are:

Halon 1211 Fire Extinguishers contain Halon 1211 clean agent fire extinguishing agent, which is a chlorofluorocarbon. Chemically it is bromochlorodifluoromethane, CF2ClBr. The production of Halon 1211 has been banned since it contains bromine, the component identified as contributing to the depletion of the earth’s ozone layer.

BFPE International will continue to provide Halon 1211 portable fire extinguishers as long as they are available for distribution. We will also continue to maintain them as long as parts and agent are available. We will continue to test & inspect them until maintenance is required that we are no longer able to perform.
