Fire
& Safety Education Programs
Extinguishers, when used properly,
save lives. . .
Fire
extinguishers play a vital role in an overall fire safety program.
According to the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association)
standards, four basic conditions must be met for them to perform
that role, however:
- Extinguishers
must be properly located and in good working condition.
- They
must be the proper type for the fire that might occur.
- The
fire must be discovered in time.
- There
must be someone ready, willing and able to use the
extinguisher.
The NFPA also
says…”the owner or occupant should give proper attention to
the inspection, maintenance, and recharging of the fore protective
equipment and should also train personnel in the correct use of
fire extinguishers on the different types of fire which may occur
on the property.” That
means fire safety training by qualified and effective trainers.
That training could make the
difference between minor damage and a devastating blaze.
Or even between life and death.
Fire safety
education might just be one of the best investments you’ll ever
make. You’ve
already invested a major amount of money in equipment; now make
that investment grow in value by training your people how to use
it properly.
BFPE Fire
Safety Training Programs
They make good (business) sense!
We can schedule a
program that will bring new skill and knowledge or refresh skills
among your people that could very well save lives and property!
Our programs include the basics, how fires start, various
types of fires and how they are extinguished.
We then cover:
- Specifics
that set your situation apart from everyone else, so that your
people understand not only the principles but also how they
apply specifically.
- A
demonstration of how to cope with fires in and
around your facility.
- Hands-on
training with your people and the types of
equipment installed at your facility.
