SYSTEMS/Command Center Systems
SYSTEMS/Intelligent - CXL

CXL: When a fire protection system consists of a number of individual control panels - either in a single large facility or in many buildings spread over campus or complex - it is often desirable to monitor, maintain or control those panels from a single, central location.
The Siemens Fire Safety CXL command center provides a reliable, user-friendly, cost-effective means of monitoring alarm and trouble, as well as other information from up to 28 individual MXL or XL fire protection control panels.

In addition, it allows keyboard control of each panel, enabling the operator to acknowledge events, silence audible signals, reset the systems, disable devices, activate relays, change detector sensitivity settings, generate maintenance reports and perform many other functions, from within the facility, across the street, across the campus, across the city or around the world.

The CXL consists of a color video display terminal - with keyboard, a printer, and a set of integral modems used to communicate with plug-in modems located in the MXL and XL3 control panels. Communication can occur over a single pair of wires, such as dedicated phone lines. It can also occur using data grade lines, or even fiber optics, with distances being virtually unlimited. For the highest level of fault tolerance, redundant (Style 7) communication paths are available.

Features/Benefits of CXL Series
  • Fire command center
  • Over 100,000 input points
  • Monitoring and control of MXL and XL3 control panels
